Make a Reservation

Fill out our reservation form to request your booking. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with detailed information. Please arrive at the meeting point indicated in the email.

Meeting Time: 1:20 PM

Please use the restroom and purchase drinks or any necessities before arriving at the meeting point.
There are no shops near the port, so we recommend preparing in advance.
Our captain and fishing guide will be waiting for you at the meeting point.

Departure: 1:30 PM

Put on your life jacket, board the boat, and get ready to set off on your fishing adventure.
Life jackets are provided free of charge, so you don’t need to bring your own.

Enjoy Fishing

Experience boat fishing surrounded by the beautiful nature of Amakusa, Japan.
Our experienced guides will support you every step of the way, so even beginners can enjoy with confidence.

Return to Port: 4:00 PM

After around 2.5 hours of fishing, we will head back to the port.
Once we arrive, the captain will prepare your catch for you, and you can place it in your cooler box.

Take Your Catch to a Local Restaurant: 4:15 PM

Bring your freshly caught fish to a local partner restaurant and enjoy a truly unique dining experience.
It takes about 2 hours to prepare your meal.
The chef will carefully clean and prepare your fish, then cook it into a variety of delicious dishes.

Relax at a Hot Spring

While your meal is being prepared, take time to relax and refresh at a nearby natural hot spring.

Dinner with Your Catch: 6:00 PM

Enjoy a relaxing dinner featuring the fish you caught yourself.
Freshly prepared and incredibly delicious, it’s a truly special experience you won’t forget.

Return Home

Return home feeling satisfied, with both your heart and stomach full.
Thank you for joining us, and we wish you a safe journey back.

Preparation

To make the most of your fishing experience, please take a few minutes to prepare before your arrival.

What to Bring​

Spare Clothes & Towel

You may get wet on the boat, so we recommend bringing a full change of clothes, including underwear.

Cooler Box with Ice

You can use a cooler box with ice packs to store your catch and drinks. It can also be used as a seat. We recommend placing fish in a plastic bag before putting them in the cooler to keep it clean.

Drinks

There may be no shops or convenience stores near the fishing area, so please prepare in advance.
In summer, staying hydrated is especially important.

All necessary fishing equipment will be provided, so you don’t need to bring anything.

What to Wear​

Clothing

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can easily adjust and don’t mind getting wet. It can be windy and cool while the boat is moving, but hot under the sun when stopped.
Weather conditions can also change quickly, so we recommend wearing layers.

In summer, the sun can be very strong.
To protect your skin, we recommend wearing long sleeves or a rash guard.

Footwear

Please wear shoes that can get wet and are easy to move in, such as sandals, marine shoes, or rubber boots. Flip-flops are not recommended.

The deck may be wet and slippery, so please choose non-slip footwear.

Hat & Sunglasses

Although there is a roof on the boat, sunlight and wind can be strong. We recommend wearing a hat with a chin strap to prevent it from being blown away.
Sunglasses are also helpful for protecting your eyes.

BOARDING LOCATION

There are multiple fishing boats.
Please check your reservation confirmation email in advance for your assigned boat, and come to the correct boarding location.

Boarding Location

About 20 minutes by car from JR Misumi Station.
If you are using public transportation, we recommend taking a taxi from Misumi Station, as there are no bus stops near the port. Taxis are limited in number, so we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Manneimaru

Boarding Location​

It takes about 20 minutes by car from JR Misumi Station to the boarding location.
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Misumi Station and get off at “Nanatsuwari” bus stop. From there, it is about a 5-minute walk.
Please note that buses run infrequently, so we recommend checking the timetable in advance.

Kaikoumaru

Boarding Location​

It takes about 1 hour by car from JR Misumi Station to the boarding location.
Public transportation options are limited, so coming by car is recommended. There are no convenience stores or restrooms near the port, so please take care of any needs in advance before arriving.

Dinner Location

There are multiple partner restaurants.
Please check your reservation confirmation email in advance for your assigned restaurant, and go to the correct dinner location.

Haebaru

Location

It takes about 10 minutes by car from the fishing port to the restaurant. There is a small parking area on the premises.
If you are using public transportation, it is about a 7-minute walk from the “Oyano Government Office” bus stop.
Please bring your catch in a cooler box or bag and give it to the restaurant staff.

Kurahachi

Location

It takes about 20–25 minutes by car from the fishing port to the restaurant. There is a small parking area on the premises.
If you are using public transportation, it is about a 10-minute walk from the “Hospital” bus stop.
Please bring your catch in a cooler box or bag and give it to the restaurant staff.

Safety & Important Notes

Weather Conditions

  • Fishing is an outdoor activity, and conditions at sea can change quickly.
  • At Amakusa Tsuro Tabi, safety is our top priority.Please note that the schedule and content of the tour may change depending on weather conditions.

Safety on Board

  • Running or jumping on the boat is strictly prohibited.
  • The deck may be wet and slippery due to water splashes, and the boat may move suddenly.
    There are also some protruding parts such as bolts and pipes.
  • For your safety, please follow the instructions of the captain at all times and avoid any dangerous behavior.

Before Boarding

  • There is a restroom on the boat, but we recommend using the restroom in advance.
  • There are no shops or restrooms near the port, so please take care of any shopping or needs before arriving.

Weather Preparation

  • Weather conditions at sea can change suddenly, with wind, rain, or strong sunlight.
  • In summer, please take precautions against heat and UV exposure. In winter, please make sure to dress warmly.
  • Once the boat departs, it is not possible to return, so proper preparation is important.

Traffic Information

  • Traffic congestion may occur near the Amakusa No.1 Bridge, especially on weekends, holidays, and during summer vacation periods.
  • Travel time may take longer than usual, so we recommend allowing extra time for your journey.

Motion Sickness Tips

The waters around Amakusa are generally calm, so the boat ride is usually smooth.
However, if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking some precautions.
Don’t worry — most guests enjoy a smooth and comfortable ride.
  • Avoid an Empty Stomach and Lack of Sleep​
    Make sure to get enough sleep the night before and be in good condition.
    We also recommend having a light meal before the tour to avoid an empty stomach.
  • Take Motion Sickness Medicine
    If you are concerned about motion sickness, please take medication about 1–2 hours before boarding.
  • Avoid Focusing on Close Objects
    While on the boat, try to look at the horizon and avoid focusing on close objects or doing detailed work.
